DAY I - JUST APPROACH
Hey all, my name’s Cloud. I’ve been in the game about 3 years now and I have seldom posted on RSD Forums. I’ve been more of what you’d probably call a ‘lurker’ on the forum, reading only select ones as I saw they applied to me.
That said, I’ve been a big fan of RSD since 2008 or so, when I watched Blueprint, after reading “The Game”, and then Jeffy’s “Nine Ball” and so on. Currently I subscribe to almost every instructor’s videos on Youtube, convert them to mp3 and listen to them in the car when driving through LA traffic daily. Stuff has been super inspirational and helped me really get more focused with things I’m doing in my life.
The reason I decided to take a bootcamp was because I had been gaming quite often (4-5x a week), and was starting to feel like I was hitting a wall with certain things. For example; how to be clear in intent? How to feel ‘entitled’? How to actually pull a girl away from crazy friends, etc? On my own, I’ve pulled some girls from social circles or online dating-- but cold approach to me had still been super difficult. So this was something I wanted to get much better at; I had only pulled and successfully laid 2 girls from solo game on cold approach over the last 3 years. I wanted it to be more consistent.
Free Tour Hour & Roundup
====================
Bootcamp took place in San Diego, in the downtown area called ‘Gaslamp’. I live in Los Angeles, so it was about a 3 hour drive from the I-5 South to 2nd Ave where my motel was. I decided to get a motel closer to the bars because that worked out cheaper than getting a hotel at Embassy Suites (where the Free Tour was taking place at). (I also learned later, none of the instructors got hotels either at Embassy Suites-- it made no sense to, since that money was much better off saved in one’s pocket for later travelling expense than blowing it away on frivolous stuff and being a chode).
I arrived at Free Tour a bit late, just because I was also making sure my motel accommodation stuff was all taken care of (the last thing I’d want would be to pull some girl and not have my room logistics taken care of).
As a side note, Motel 6 -- where I was staying has a weird policy where guests who are staying with you must show ID, otherwise they have reasons to kick you out of the motel. I think there must be a prostitution problem there, and the police are always patrolling the area-- so just stuff to watch out for; at present-- not really sure how I would handle the ID bit if I’m pulling a girl back to my place (anything logical would probably take her out of rhythm, but I guess if I have good enough game I could probably get around it).
Tyler took to the stage and talked just as I had come in, but unfortunately some guy derailed his speech by coming in and sitting down -- as if to antagonize Tyler. Tyler labelled the guy as a sociopath; because earlier the guy had made threats to him (and possibly his family). What ensued next was Tyler trying to use social dynamics by putting him in the spot, tooling him, putting him on camera-- all in efforts to get the guy to leave; but the guy held his own frame, even in the face of other students shouting and pushing him around. Apparently the guy was having a ton of fun at Tyler’s expense. Security showed up finally and got the guy after a lot of hassling to get out.
Because of what happened, Tyler was thrown off somewhat-- and started taking about sociopaths in his Free Tour speech (I don’t know if that was his intention). His main themes were ‘empathy’ and ‘why it’s not good to be a sociopath’; why you basically need to be empathetic to ‘not go to jail’. I didn’t think the speech was that thorough though, but even still not worried about it. Tyler usually has some great speeches, so look forward to the next one.
After the speech, the bootcamp students and I went outside to meet with Jeffy and Todd; our instructors for the night. (Tyler was going to instruct as well, but he was somewhat sick so he went back to LA instead). He did say though that he would help me back in LA (since there were 7 students and only 2 instructors, so the 3 students to 1 instructor ratio was slightly off-- which was kind of him). For that reason, I was basically with the other bootcamp students to be on bootcamp but mainly observe and try to do my own approaches, while the instructors paid more attention to the other students.
Then Jeffy rounded up all the students and we each introduced ourselves; our names, where we were from and occupation (something like that). Jeffy and Todd told us to focus on Tyler’s 6 Steps for Social Momentum and Freedom From Outcome. That would be the number one thing to work on while being out.
The other thing to focus on was TAKING ACTION. No talking during actual bootcamp; that was for afterwards -- when debriefing (around 3:30AM or whenever it took place). We were also told to make sure we stuck to the plan; whatever the instructors said to do, we’d HAVE to do. It was all about trusting in their decision, not doing whatever we wanted-- this program could be essentially brutal and cause extreme discomfort; the instructors might seem really tough and mean; but they had our best intentions at heart. If we did everything according to the 6 Steps, and we listened to the instructors-- we would come out way stronger the other side.
With that, we divided up into separate groups to take cars to the Downtown Gaslamp area; I rode with two other students and Todd. During this time, Todd asked us each about our main sticking points. My main sticking point was ‘clarity of intent’ and ‘feeling entitled’. Some of the other concerns I heard from other students was ‘not knowing what to say’ or ‘feeling approach anxiety when going up to girls’.
AT DOWNTOWN
==============
We then met up with the other students, and were told to stagger into the first club in groups of two; so the bouncers wouldn’t sense a huge group of guys were going all in at once inside a venue. Upon entrance, we’d have to IMMEDIATELY go into set and talk to someone. I remember feeling somewhat anxious but determined to break through the fucking wall.
My first set was immediate; I saw a two set - one girl, one guy, and immediately went in with “Hi, I’m Cloud, who are you”. I stuck out my hand, and the girl looked super surprised. From there, I introduced myself also to the guy, who was some big black guy that looked a bit intimidating (also shocked); but I quickly transitioned to how I was new in SD, and on vacation! I asked about good spots nearby, then asked about drinks they recommended at the bar. Out of the corner of my eye, I was also checking around to see other sets to approach, as Todd had said earlier to approach ALL, and to minimize time between sets -- the ideal would be to jump out right after being in set with one, and already seeing the next set-- then going to that one.
I finished up with this set by asking the girl about more stuff to do, as well as some qualifying questions to see if there was any attraction for me; apparently the guy she was with was just a friend-- I sort of had tooled him by asking ‘how they knew each other, were they boyfriend and girlfriend’... which usually works great if the girl says no. In her case, she said ‘no’, but I also didn’t feel as into her-- it was still too early and the night was young. So I just kept her as a placeholder to come back to if nothing else.
I jumped into the next set which was a two set of girls, I think I opened with the same shit; “Hi, I’m Cloud”; then asking her about what to do in San Diego and how I was on vacation. I started screening her to see if she was really cool, and would react to any threads I threw out-- lately have been asking girls if they watch Netflix, because I do-- and if we were to really hang out, I’d want to set up a Netflix date to watch Breaking Bad or some other show. Usually if I find a girl is into that, it’s a huge connection for me, ‘cause when I’m not gaming-- I’m usually wasting time at home watching Netflix lol.
One of the bootcamp assistants came by and helped out; said I was doing a good job-- but again I didn’t really feel super connected to that girl; I kinda felt turned off by the tattoos and her drunkenness, but I decided fuck it, let’s try some kino. I tried to see her hand, but she wouldn’t give it; then Todd came from behind and said we were leaving to the next bar.
BARLEY MASH
============
We then went to Barley Mash-- a huge bar in that area, where TONS of hot girls were dancing around inside.
Again -- mentality was APPROACH ALL. MINIMIZE DOWN TIME.
I opened some girl with “Hi, I’m Cloud”, but it backfired, she looked annoyed and turned her face the other way. So I just laughed and went to the next. And the next and the next and the next. Several girls were straight up rude to me. I just kept laughing.
I saw some girl who was with one of the other students; he tried to open her and she was rude to him, so I grabbed her by the arm and said “HEY WHO ARE YOU”. She got pissed off! “Don’t TOUCH ME! ”, she screamed. So I looked her in the eye and said “HAH, I DON’T GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU THINK”. So she said “I’m calling SECURITY!” I realized then and there she might actually be on staff, so I jumped out of set into the crowd and found another set of girls to talk to.
A little side note-- I can be aggressive sometimes, OVERLY aggressive too-- which was kind of a sticking point coming into bootcamp; something I’ve been wanting to work on forever. I feel like that waitress situation was one of those times when I get a bit over-cocky and act out of line; but I found the whole thing funny-- and more of an asshole. The other guy I was with was Indian like me, so the waitress couldn’t find me; and instead kicked the other guy out because she thought that was me. (Plus there were a lot of other Indian guys standing around in the bar looking lost so I had a bit of an advantage). (If you ever met me in real life, you’d probably think -- man this guy doesn’t seem the slightest bit aggressive at all; you would think I’m super relaxed and chill lol).
In any case, I felt a rush of energy and adrenaline, as I jumped out of set to the next one -- by this point I was high fiving so many people and talking to so many randoms that it seemed like I was everyone’s best friend. I did a lot of self introductions, followed by asking stuff about San Diego, places to go, bars to check out, getting free sips of drinks from girls (ask a girl how her drink is and if you can have a sip-- most likely she’ll give it to you, so you can act like you have a beer in a situation where people are wondering where your drink is). Plus it’s also a great way to get a sense of the bar’s best drinks at once.
I danced on the floor with a girl, spinning her around on open, then pulling her body close to mine; then an assistant instructor came in and did the same thing with another girl. He lifted his girl off the floor and spun her around, so I did the same thing with my girl-- a cute white girl. The girls loved it, and some other girls began hovering around us. I danced with another girl, a black girl, but I wasn’t that into her, so I spun her off.
ASIAN GIRL & BIG BANG THEORY
============================
============================
By that point, I felt like the ‘emergency’ situation had died off, I had a lot of ‘friends’ now at the bar, so I decided to scale back on the energy and just slow it down-- approach sets of girls I was really into. I saw a very pretty Asian girl with a group of guys/girls-- so I opened her fat friend up first and spun her around. Then some guy who looked like Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory came up and talked to me, so I tooled him as being Sheldon Cooper (again probably not the right thing to do lol). (Jeffy and Todd told me later to stop antagonizing the males in set, give them value and be friendly instead of being a dick-- or they will turn on me later). In any case, the Asian girl kinda overheard us talking Big Bang Theory, and I told her I was ‘Raj’. She was like-- but ‘Raj doesn’t talk to girls’; so I said ‘but I had a few drinks so it’s okay’! (Raj can’t talk to girls unless he has alcohol-- it’s a running gag in the show).
She loved that joke and that definitely opened her up. She wanted to know who she was, so Sheldon said there were no Asian girls in Big Bang Theory-- but I saved it by saying she could be my love interest -- Raj’s love interest; so she ate it up. By far too, this was one of the most attractive Asian girls I had gamed in a while (so my chode self inside was really going nuts for her). I did feel a bit needy, but I reminded myself -- the more I go for these hot girls, the more I’ll just feel natural around them; and in time, I won’t feel as crazy/needy for them. In any case, I began escalating on her, telling her I was in love, she should marry me, pulling her by the hand and trying to get her away from the group. I think she was really into it, but sadly the group started getting very angry and pulling her back away from me. I whispered in her ear “Your friends suck, come with me instead”; and kept trying to plant ideas in her head “Burgers, let’s go. Let’s get burgers at Burger Lounge-- (which was nearby)”. Sheldon became a real Sheldon asshole, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Jeffy nearby. I wasn’t sure if he noticed, but I felt at the time like it was a sign to keep persisting. I chased the Asian girl and her friends out into the street, leaving Barley Mash and trying to convince the group I was in love with her; how could they separate us; we should all go get burgers, etc. In some ways, I think I kinda bent some of the people to my will; because they found the whole thing funny-- and I was also being pretty funny about the fact I was losing her. (So I wasn’t entirely creepy lol). I pulled Asian girl away for ‘2 seconds’, then tried to get her number, which she almost gave, but then Sheldon came in again and took Raj’s love interest away from him. Fuck you Sheldon.
At that point, I gave up, went back to Barley Mash, but couldn’t get in. I saw the white girl I had danced with before, so I said I was with her to the bouncer. The bouncer didn’t believe me, so I gamed the white girl a little bit with statements of intent and humor; then she convinced the bouncer to let me in (as if we were friends).
WHITE GIRL SET
=============
I decided to game the white girl; my big takeaway from the Asian girl set was that I was TOO aggressive and pushed too much game too fast; so I decided to go way slower with her. I danced with her a bit inside for a bit, then bantered about San Diego, being on vacation; at this point I tried to get her number. She gave it to me, then I suggested we go outside and meet her friends. Her friends were some weird old 50 year old man trying to impress her and her other friend (a fatty smoker who thought she was Kim Kardashian) with a bottle of alcohol. He was trying to get them to come back to his place for drinks. They kept tooling him to see what kind of car he drove; and he somewhat fell into the frame. I tried to befriend everyone, but they all seemed apathetic at best; which I felt kinda turned off my girl somewhat. So I decided to just keep talking to her. Over time however, I felt bored, and so did she; and even just escalation started getting awkward-- like I was touching her out of pity. (I felt like she was a lot older than I initially thought-- and she seemed boring in terms of what she did in life; which was internet marketing she wasn’t really passionate about).
Eventually I left that set too, but I told her I’d text her later; and mentioned meeting up at Burger Lounge. Both girls seemed to be down, and I decided it was better for me to game more girls. I went back inside and opened a two set of black girls; who were super cold to me. I told them that it was a privilege I, a king, should even be talking to them (I was joking but they didn’t get the humor)-- so they of course told me to fuck off in a horrible way. The girl pushed me hard into the crowd, so I reframed it by laughing hard and saying “YEAH!!!!” Some people looked my way as if to see what the commotion was all about-- so I said “WHOA THESE GIRLS ARE THE ONES YOU DON’T WANT TO APPROACH-- THEY’RE THE BITCHES OF THE BAR!!”. I got some laughs and high fives out of it, then some black guy white knight (black knight?) came up and tried to find out what was going on. Feeling the adrenaline rush, I laughed and jumped into another set. I told another group of black girls and guys I was the Prince of Persia; so they all ate it up and started joking about oil and riches. (It also gave me some social proof, since they were black too -- that actually liked me; not all black people hate Indian guys in San Diego lol).
All in all-- my interest in the club started to wane, I had definitely approached a LOT of sets. I found another two set of Asian girls but one of them seemed like a gold digger and was only interested in guys who were wealthy (she even blatantly said that to me as if I wasn’t rich or old enough-- her loss lol). I saw Todd nearby, so I introduced him to the girls, and the other girl (who I liked I began gaming-- I felt she was into me too). Todd mentioned everyone was leaving, so I decided to jump out too-- and that he wasn’t paying much attention to me because I was going to be observing only (Tyler would help out when I got back to LA next month). I was okay with that, so I followed the crew outside of Barley Mash to the street.
BRIAN’S 24 HOUR DINER FOR DEBRIEF
===============================
Finally at 3:30 or 4AM in the morning we decided to debrief at some 24 hour diner called Brian’s 24. We all sat at a huge table and basically looked like a ‘cock fest’ (jokingly Jeff called it). We ordered burgers and steaks, then we talked about how our sets went for the night. Jeffy said I was basically a maniac; and that would be what I’d need to work on-- toning shit down and not being an antagonizer; then Todd slightly mentioned the same thing too. For the other guys, I heard stuff on how they should have approached more; but my RAS shifted to a two set Jeffy had opened earlier at the diner-- then left it, so I reopened it-- two Asian girls, who seemed really into our group.
One Asian girl (kinda chubby though) was giving ‘Anime Eyes’ over and over, so I really felt she was into me, and got some good insight at how those eyes look; so I saved it in my brain for later reference. The other girl, was skinnier and more hipster looking, but she was engaged, so I joked with her about her making the right decision or possibly wrong one (I’m such a dick). I think she jokingly agreed, and both of them wanted to add me on Instagram, as well as get my number. The fatty Asian girl seemed DTF, because she kept texting me throughout the night even after debrief was over; sadly my phone ran out of battery so there was a bit of an hour delay until I got back to my hotel to charge it back up. By then she fell asleep, so I just texted her I’d see her on another day to hang out. (She was fuckable, but in my head I felt like I could do better, and I was doing bootcamp to get 8’s, 9’s and 10’s -- to feel more entitled to them instead of average girls-- who I know I can get without a bootcamp).
All in all-- was a good first night out; things I learned:
- Approach all
- Minimize time in between interactions
- Scale back the aggressiveness
- Don’t antagonize other guys / befriend them instead
- Be smarter about pulling-- don’t just try to rip girls off their friends, be clever about it (Todd would have some useful advice in the later days that helped me get further with this)
- Anime eyes -- definite attraction
Hope you enjoyed, onto writing part II and part III… And definitely welcome your thoughts and advice :)

DAY II - HOW BAD DO YOU WANT THIS BITCH?
Day 2 of Bootcamp. I spent most of the day actually reading a book called ‘Black Passenger, Yellow Cab’. It’s a book about this black guy with an Asian fetish who moves to Japan to sleep around with hundreds of Japanese girls. It’s basically like his own memoir on the subject matter. For those of you who know me well, I have a thing for Japanese girls too-- as I spent the last 8 years of my chodery life studying Japanese hoping to get a Japanese girlfriend. I should probably put it out there that I’m also an ‘otaku’ and love anime. The book is really cool because the guy is brutally honest about his ‘intent’, and the way he describes how he picked up each girl is really cool. (Okay sure, the guy is a big black guy who lives up to his stereotype of having a big dick, but ehh-- I suppose it could work if you just went around in character acting like you had a big dick as well and wanted to put it in the ‘tofu’).
If anything though, that book kinda readied me for the night-- I wanted to be SUPER CLEAR in my intent with girls; as I tried to run around in character for myself too.
We met up at Andaz -- the entire group including Jeffy, Todd, Frank (Tyler’s assistant), and several other instructor assistants along with bootcamp students. Jeffy went over the seven steps for escalation (aka ‘meat and potatoes’ pickup) and then Todd talked about how to pull girls out of the club. Jeffy also gave us a bunch of openers to use for the night, and Todd took Q&A for specific questions about escalation / pulling. Both instructors also set the expectation that we should not expect to fuck a girl within the first few minutes of meeting her; that most ‘normal’ pickup was slow -- expect anywhere from 45-90 minutes of interaction time. While pulls can happen within 5 minutes or so, it’s not typical. Besides, we were all a bunch of n00bs so it made more sense to just focus on practicing the seven steps.
The first place we went to was Stingaree. Talk about super super high energy nightclub. Once again, we staggered two by two into the club, so not to alarm the bouncers that there were huge groups of guys entering at all at once. I think it was about $20 cover, but the bouncer gave us a discount because we were both dressed well (so $10 instead per person).
Upon entrance, I saw a girl and pulled her into me. “You, who are you?”, I exclaimed. She looked startled but said something I didn’t hear. I got distracted myself, the club was SO LOUD. I let go of her and went to another set, but they ignored and walked past me. I kept going, walking around opening sets with “YO! HIGH FIVE”, “PARTY!”, “YOU KNOW HOW TO PARTY”, but girls at best were apathetic.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I started to look around and find the other guys; but they were nowhere to be found. I decided to persist and keep opening girls, because I knew if I was in state, I’d feel much better.
I made it to the upstairs area (Stingaree is like 3 levels), where it was also cooler (rooftop) and people were more relaxed. I opened a few girls sitting down high energy; one girl kind of hooked but then she told me she was married but thanks for the fun anyway (within like 5 min of conversation).
I ran around a bit trying to open girls with high fives or handshakes and spin them around (like the first of Jeffy’s 7 escalation steps), and it sort of worked well (now that I was in more higher state). Some girls stopped what they were doing and let me ‘game’ them. I remember one Asian girl taking interest, but then her friend cockblocking me later and pulling her away. Then later, I opened up a white girl who was with some dude and another girl; it seemed that the other girl was with the dude; my girl was by herself and kinda tipsy. This would probably be my best set of the night..
SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH
==========================
She wasn’t into me from the start, but I spun her around, then framed her as Sabrina the teenage witch (because that’s what she looked like to me). “Where’s your cat?”, I exclaimed. “Where’s your broom?” She ate it up and laughed. Her friend came in a few times and tried to ask what was going on-- the friend was being weirdly overprotective. I pretended I was from ‘London’ and on a trip to visit the ‘chaps’ in the United States. Sabrina kept laughing and playing along. The other girl wasn’t really buying it, but I persisted by saying “Hey we are just having fun, I just met her and she seems really cool. We like each other, let us keep talking. We’re just talking, that’s it.” So she left us alone, but kept hovering every now and then while talking to the other dude.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Todd -- so I tried to pull him in to wing me with Sabrina, but he instead said “We’re leaving soon…”, then saw I was having fun with Sabrina, so he smiled said “If you want to keep having fun with this one, don’t let us stop you.., whenever you finish you can join us after”.
Sabrina and I kept bantering in funny accents to each other, I rolled out the ‘Indian’ accent -- there’s a line I love by a comedian named Russell Peters; “Indians know we don’t have the sexiest accent but it is great for breaking tension.. picture a serious courtroom drama-- Your honor, my client wOUlD LikE to pLEaD GuiLTyyyyyy...”. Indeed that accent was super funny to her, and around that time my fingers were interlaced with hers; her body against mine. I did the triangle stare, and kept putting my face near hers amping the pressure to kiss. She wanted it badly. Sadly, cockblock friend saw what was going on and pulled her away again.
“We’re just talking.. nothing else! JUST TALKING”, I tried to reason. Cockblock friend wasn’t having it, and kept threatening to tell her boyfriend to kick my ass. I just smiled and said “Dude, we’re just having fun, why do you want to be the one at the party who ruins the fun?” It didn’t matter-- she wasn’t having it, and walked away with Sabrina. Grrr.
I went to join the RSD gang, most of the guys were just huddled in the back -- looking for sets to approach; I was super in state, so I tried opening girls and then bringing some of the other students into the sets. Jeffy kept pointing with his elbow to open more and more sets he’d see go by.
Finally, we all decided to leave Stingaree, but just as we were going, a fight broke out between Frank and one of the students (I think a student from Brazil). The Brazilian student had been drinking WAY too much and thought Frank was trying to steal some girl he was hitting on. So he began yelling hard at Frank. Jeffy intercepted, but Brazilian wouldn’t calm down. Somehow with the crowd of people all over the club, we lost the Brazilian guy as the rest of us made our way out the club to the next venue.
CREEPING OUT CHICKS AT BANG
===========================
Lol, well yeah-- kinda. We made our way over to a bar called Bang (I think-- not 100% sure of this). It was near a pizza place and probably Barley Mash (from the first night).
Open open open, again-- as soon as we got in the club, straight up open. So I did; I opened some girls with high fives, then tried to spin them; but they resisted. I took a step back and began talking to them about funny stuff, but they walked away thereafter. Over my head I saw some go-go dressed girl swinging on a swing high above me-- she was swinging from a swing connected to the ceiling. As I made my way past her, I saw a pretty big dance floor and some of the other students trying to open.

As I made my way past her, I saw a pretty big dance floor and some of the other students trying to open.
Again, the venue was loud, so it was hard to have actual conversation; if anything it made more sense to just be physical and talk LOUDLY. A lot of girls weren’t having it though, I tried to spin handshake them around, but they resisted off. I saw a student grind up on some girls after dancing a bit by himself, so I did the same thing, but at best, I got half a grind. I remember one fatty white girl really got pissed and yelled at me that I was “Creepy”, so I told her straight up, “Creepy? This is MERCY bitch, no one looks at you otherwise.” Lol.. again -- me having an ego. She gave me the hand, I laughed it off.
I saw Todd and Jeffy by the back of the bar, so I came over to see what they were doing with the other students. Students were hovering around, so Jeffy and Todd kept pointing again with the elbow to sets to approach. Todd told me to approach as well, so I went up to a two set -- one guy, one short Asian girl. I spun her around, then tried to throw out some cocky/funny stuff. I introduced another student to her, then talked to the guy in the set to make sure he was cool. He was the short Asian girl’s friend, so it was okay if we talked to her; but I think the Asian girl got creeped out. Meanwhile the guy kept talking to me about things to do in San Diego, and his overall vibe was pretty cool-- so I actually wanted to Facebook friend him just for future help/reference-- but the Asian girl dragged him away (saying she didn’t want him to get to know us). How’s that for ironic?
Sets continued, we kept approaching, kept running meat and potatoes stack-- to the point girls started leaving the bar, and soon the place looked pretty dead. Our group decided to jump out too, and hit the streets.
STREET GAME WITH RSD
====================
For the next several hours or so, we just did massive street game. Lots and lots of girls were walking up and down, some drunk, some completely wasted. Lots of people were making their ways to pizza places, hamburger stops, etc. We gamed some girls inside those shops with the same openers. At this point, I decided to just observe the rest of the gang and see how Todd and Jeffy coached them.
Jeffy and Todd continued pointing to sets and telling students to go in. I noticed that a lot of the students had a HARD time with this. Jeffy at one point got in a student’s face and began screaming at him to get in front of the sets; not half ass it. It was totally drill sergeant, military style. (He did it from a good place in his heart though, lol).
For my part, I pretended like Jeffy was yelling at me, so I made it my resolve to also approach girls walking by; and I did some with assistant instructors together. Nothing spectacular from any of the street sets, but we just kept practicing the approaches and trying to convey intent; plus getting girls to have pizza with us or walk with us somewhere.
I heard one of the students was able to pull a girl to a cab and go with her somewhere, but later I found out he didn’t close. But it was a great try. One of the assistant instructors told us he pulled a girl to the bathroom and stuck it in; showing us a picture.
Around this time, I sort of became tame-- I could really feel my tiredness kicking in, and while I continued to approach, I was more or less focused on how the other students were doing and what sort of coaching they were getting (to me that’s what I wanted to see-- hoping that I could make changes to my own game). Jeffy began ridiculing students; asking them if they really wanted it-- how bad did they really want it? “It’s this or go back home boys and waste your money. You can choose to take action or NOT and go home empty handed.”
I felt a bit broken at that point-- I had been approaching A LOT; in fact I kept jumping into sets of girls that would walk by and try to throw out stuff like “Burger Lounge! Pizza! Let’s go!” I wondered though how bad I wanted it; in my mind-- I didn’t really want it, but then I also REALLY did. Part of me wanted to sleep really badly, but the other part of my mind was like FUCK. I CAN’T GIVE UP! I think it’s these moments, where you are so focused on the process, it becomes addicting-- like you really push yourself to want to succeed, and you realize this is everything you’re fighting for. (I thought to myself, so long as I continue to practice this hard, like I really want it, I could see myself hitting mastery in no time-- so for me, that was my big takeaway from this experience altogether). Jeffy continued to preach “As long as you still care, you will FAIL. You have to stop giving a fuck.”
I saw some kinda cute (HB6) latina girl go by when our group made it to a pizza place nearby Barley Mash again. The streets of San Diego sure are crowded and fun to game especially towards the end of the night when everyone’s leaving the clubs. I think the main gist of how ‘normal’ people hang out is -- hit up the clubs first, then jump around divey bars, hang out late, until they get kicked out-- then hit up all the restaurants. I think if you can hang around the time where people are leaving the club and going to restaurants, aka the ‘Skag hour’, you’ll be more likely to pull girls-- mainly because the ones hanging out THAT late probably do want to get some action for the night. My latina girl was kinda like that; I ran the spin handshake, then interlaced fingers, while throwing out Indian / London accents; plus walking with her down the streets arm in arm. She needed to go to the bathroom, so I walked with her and introduced her to everyone as my girlfriend. She was laughing and eating it up. We got into the bathroom area, but the line was super super long. I thought of going in with her into the bathroom, but I kinda choked; I felt we’d get caught easily. Plus, by then some other dudes were trying to get at her, and so I felt like her interest in me was waning / (mine too-- she was only a 6). In a moment of weakness, I just left her there because I wanted to see what the other crew members were up to.
24 HOUR DINER PART II
====================
We made it back to the same place we had been the night before to debrief. Jeffy and Todd talked to each of the students about taking action, and really going after what we wanted. They also asked us individually about our best sets and what we could have done better. My best set was the Sabrina girl, and I also talked about how I ran into issues with the cockblocking friends. Todd said I would have to be a bit smarter about social situations-- I had good energy, but I wasn’t being smart about it. Next time, ask for two seconds with the girl alone, move her somewhere else in the bar (saying you’ll bring her back), then try to keep moving further and get her away from there. Don’t just makeout with her in front of her friends.
After debrief (about 6AM), Frank’s assistant, Sedrick needed a place to stay-- so I let him stay at my motel. He was a pretty cool guy; kind of a starving artist kinda dude, could draw really well but stayed humble nonetheless. He also was committed to approaching and getting better, so it was cool; even though we were told not to stay up late; the next day would be just as hectic and we’d need our rest; we ended up talking about game for a while into the night. Like the previous night before, I couldn’t sleep-- all I could think about was fucking girls in my dreams, and they got pretty erotic (me getting it on with a blonde Asian slutty chick).
Things I learned from Day II:
- High energy places means you approach high energy even if it’s just a few seconds
- Do lots of high fives, handshakes, and jump from set to set
- Less logic, more humor-- having an accent and not taking yourself seriously is fun
- Persist like a mofo; how bad do you want it-- when you fail, you haven’t failed enough
- You know you want it when you’ve gotten to that nauseating feeling where you know you’ve done a lot of failed approaches; but you are tired of quitting and will work better, harder, smarter, faster -- this is true clarity in intent; to go after what you really want.
- Be smart -- not stupid; know when and when NOT to escalate, maneuver your girl around the obstacles; then makeout
- Befriend-- don’t antagonize people; make everyone on your side to help you get the girl
DAY III - DAY GAME (WITH FRANK’S WING SEDRIC)
Day 3-- Sedrick and I couldn’t sleep, so we ended up getting up again around 9ish or so. We tried to force ourselves to sleep, but around 11, we just decided to go out to the Downtown area again to get some coffee (I think Sedrick also had some errands).
We went to the Horton Plaza mall near Motel 6, it’s a pretty big mall (I had actually been there also the day before on my own but only for a few minutes at Starbucks). Today, I decided to do some day-game with Sedrick; who was already ahead of me. He had a cool special routine for picking up Latina girls (his favorite, because he’s also Hispanic too-- so he knows some cool cultural stuff).
He looks at girls and asks them if they’re Cholita (kinda East side gangster kinda girls); especially the Latina girls who have high outined eyebrows. There’s also this ‘3 dot’ thing, that only Cholitas would get-- apparently it means “Mi Vida Loca”, or “My Life is Crazy”-- something only people ‘back in the day’ would get. Sedrick told me I should do it to Latina girls especially because it would be ironic; how would a random Indian guy know about that shit-- it’d be funny. On our walk we saw a bunch of latina girls sitting by a hair salon-- so he pointed to a girl and I went in with “Eyyy are you a Cholittta?”
Said girl had no idea what I was talking about; apparently it was the wrong girl Sedrick had pointed to. I persisted anyway trying to get her to admit she was one; but she kept talking to me in plain normal English insisting she was not a ‘Cholita’. I was like “yeahhh right” in that hispanic accent that Sedrick is so good at; “I know you-- I know about your three dots, mi vida es loca”. She looked really annoyed, so I tried to back off and introduce myself as myself just having fun, we were exploring the city, etc. She looked annoyed still, so I was like fuck it-- “I’m screening you, not you screening me lol”; and went to Sedrick who was having more luck with his girl.

His girl was a bit on the plump side, but she seemed to be mildly annoyed yet mildly amused by Sedrick calling her out as a Cholita. She tried to deny it at first, but Sedrick got her to admit it later-- so I was like “woooooah cool dude”, and mentally high fived him. Sedrick eventually ejected though because he said she was ‘boring’. So we both kinda screened these girls as not really that interesting; but it was good practice anyway.
We then went to Tendergreens for lunch, near the 24 Hour Fitness Gym, walked around some more; I lost sight of Sedrick at one point-- so I did my own day game for a bit; I tried chasing down a cute brunette into a grocery store who was on her phone. I spoke to her in a commanding tone: “Get off the phone. The other person isn’t that important. Attention on me. I’m your boyfriend now. How does your man feel about you talking to another man like me?” She was eating it up, laughing hard. She eventually told me she was married though, so I was like lol, okay well I was just joking around myself and how I wanted to explore the city.
I met up with Sedrick later, who had me approach an Italian girl smoking. I talked to her in my London accent, and for a bit she thought I really was from London, and tried to tell me about places I would know-- that’s when I cracked. I told her I was really from LA and just having fun, so she laughed too; then I tried to spin her around and that’s when she decided she had to leave. Ugh-- blah.
We kept walking, Sedrick and I; made it somewhere to downtown Gaslamp where Sedrick saw a cute ‘Blasian’ two set (Black Asian). He hammered away at them with some “you look like x and y” (so like you look like a cholita but insert blasian or whatever mix, where are you from), and eventually they hooked. He talked about partying later at Barley Mash or wherever, so they were down (we kept saying afterparty). Number close.
He approached another Asian girl down the street and I let him be at that point, seemed like he hooked really well and the two of them kept walking down the street together. I followed along just to go in that general direction and also just observe Sedrick’s body language; which was pretty good. The Asian girl was pretty into him. Later, I went into a Starbucks and observed him from the outside; he was up against a wall, and to onlookers it looked like the Asian girl was gaming him, not the other way around. He saw me, so he tried to move the girl into Starbucks for an Instadate. He told me he’d introduce me to her at some point to wing, so I just chilled, then he went and stood in line with her. They bantered some more, but I noticed he didn’t have that much proximity to her; in fact the gap between them was getting larger and larger. The girl went to the other side of the Starbucks to get her order, so he didn’t go after her; he just kinda hovered around. He then told her to come find him at the table with me, and then came over to me.
The girl made him wait around-- she didn’t come sit with us, instead she just waited for her order for a long time. I told Sedrick it was a shit test-- girls usually will play ‘hard to get’ when they know you want them to comply for something. By not complying but making you wait for it instead, they see if you’ll either rush back to her and try harder to get her to come sit down; or write her off altogether. Probably the most appropriate thing would have been to just call her out jokingly on her bs, maybe tease her as the ‘dog waiting’ (flip the script), and just go back to injecting humor/gaming until the two of you come back together to sit down-- rather than just making it some massive frame battle. I don’t know, I’ve seen this shit a lot; lots of hot girls will do stuff like that because they like feeling the validation that they made a guy chase them for compliance; the best thing to do is flip the script and not give her that validation instead. All that said, the girl came up to Sedrick after getting her order and said “Nice meeting you, I’ve gotta go now”, then walked off smirking. Ah well.
We went to Barley Mash after, opened up a set of fatties at the back of the bar-- none of whom were that interesting; but they were our social proof for the bar. Actually the waitress called us out as the ‘pickup guys’ and asked the girls if they were okay-- the girls were okay; we had thrown a lot of fun humor stuff their way and I found that they went to UCLA like me. (So they realized I was intelligent too -- hey that works). Still, Sedrick and I weren’t that into them, and we wanted to approach other girls at the bar, but the crowd looked more interested in the baseball games going on (and we also felt like the crowd was a bit too fat for our tastes).
NATIVE AMERICAN GIRL
=====================
Back to street, I saw this really cute girl standing alone checking out a few movie posters. Sedrick pointed, so I shot; it was my set next-- so I went in with “I’m shy, but I really want to get to know you, my name is Cloud, and I think you’re adorable”. She loved it; and I kept playing the shy boy frame around her-- telling her I had a hard time making friends (while sounding like I was really confident), I was new to town, didn’t know what to do in SD, and how I’d rather be at home watching Netflix. She kept eating it up; in fact she kept throwing back “You’re not really shy, you seem super confident to me. Who are you?”
I told her I was a tech guy visiting, just having some fun out here, I spun her around-- then asked her about the movie theatre. She said she was a theatre/art museum buff, and that’s when I ‘hooked’ lol. (I really like film/theatre/art, so I told her about how I work in the film business -- basically for an agency that promotes blockbuster movies like After Earth, Fast & Furious, etc). She liked that, then I threw out my Netflix screener; to see if she likes watching TV and would like to watch TV with me sometime (I’m currently watching X-Files, so I asked her if she had seen it). Interestingly enough, she told me she was from New Mexico, so I asked her if she knew about paranormal activity out there or the Roswell incident. I think I asked her if Area 51 was also out there, but she said that was Nevada lol. Ah well, same difference. I used my friend Duke’s routine -- “You seem like someone I should ACTUALLY get to know, do you have a number?”; and then I number closed her.
I asked her then what she was doing by herself; she said she was just out to explore-- so I realized I probably could instadate her too, and asked her if I could accompany her to wherever she was going next. She hesitated for a second (and that was bad on my part-- I should have suggested something or led better), but she gave me the benefit of the doubt because I saved it by saying we could go explore art museums nearby. So she was good with that. I think she wanted to get away, but I kinda continued to save it by framing her as Scully and myself as Mulder -- we’d solve crimes together like the famous X-Files duo; so I just kept yammering away with that shtick and she continued to laugh it up. Around that time, I even started feeling like I was David Duchovny, and adopting some of his Californication Hank Moody style mannerisms.
We walked off together, I left Sedrick behind (texting him to find me later at the hotel), then we went to the museum.
Inside the museum, I was really on top of my game. We really took on the role of Mulder and Scully, looking at each painting and really trying to understand what the real meaning behind each one was-- like a puzzle. We were solving puzzles. At first she was skeptical of me, but then I really got into character, and like Mulder started noticing all the little things most people wouldn’t notice in the paintings, then tying them together to tell a story.

At first she was skeptical of me, but then I really got into character, and like Mulder started noticing all the little things most people wouldn’t notice in the paintings, then tying them together to tell a story.
For example, there was one painting that had a man with a scarf draped around his mouth; covering it entirely. Around him were a cat, mouse and an eagle; each animal positioned at a different angle in the picture. It seemed cryptic at first, but I observed the mouse was running away from the bird, who seemed to be looking at it, while the cat looking at the bird-- waiting to pounce. Together we determined this could be the basic cycle of life; survival or the food chain. Who then was the guy in the back? He seemed larger than life-- so I deduced he might be ‘God’, and that God is ‘mute’ in many ways, and in the background for most of us; observing us from above. We also as humans get caught up in the ‘rat race’ of survival and tend to ignore things going on in the background, such as God -- so this painting might be symbolic to how we humans live our life.
Native American girl really liked that, and I think for once my intelligence was a turn-on. I found I was also really turned on by her having that intelligence too; we definitely shared several moments like that as we continued to analyze other paintings in the museum; it made the experience all the while more worth it-- I mean hey, we could have just gone off on our own separate times and not had as rewarding of a visiting experience. To me, this was the stuff of good dates.
As we went through the place, we continued to find more connections in place; she had been to Japan, her last boyfriend was a young guy -- so I joked she was a cougar and that was probably why she was into me; but then I found she was actually the same age as me, only I looked better because I work out and eat healthy. (She thought I was 24, when I’m actually 30). I think that might have thrown her off a little, but we continued to walk around together outside the museum.
Around another bar, I started forgetting things-- to ‘lead’. She asked me what to do next, and I instead was thinking about how to kino her or kiss her; so I lost focus. Some other guy came into our set to ask directional questions; (I thought he might be another PUA, so I brushed him off). However Native American helped him with his question-- she was really kind about it, and even got out her cell phone to show him exactly. I just played it cool, pretending like I was her boyfriend and recalled the countless times I had done the same thing to boys with their girls; and how those boyfriend guys didn’t freak out or act possessive (the cool ones at least). So I tried to be the same way-- and it worked, eventually that guy left.
I felt kinda out of steam by this point, but I had nothing in my mind to do next. I just wanted to kiss her, but I kinda missed the boat; so I tried doing the seven escalation steps that Jeffy had talked about. I put pressure between us in terms of sexual tension to kiss her, but I could tell she was getting a bit nervous. She told me about a Haunted Hotel across the street, so I said that we should check it out. She told me though she had already been there, and I should go. I tried to get her to go with me, but she was half-suggestable to it, and wanted to use the bathroom instead. At this point I decided, it’d probably be better to just end the instadate and catch up later. (Plus I was about an hour away from Hotseat with Tyler, and felt super tired for lack of sleep). We gave each other a hug and said our goodbyes.
For what it’s worth, I tried to text her later about hanging out but she went completely silent the remainder of my stay in San Diego :/ I wish I had been a bit smarter; I think she lost attraction because I failed to do anything in that moment with her or even kiss her. She seemed a bit shocked I left early too. Who knows-- maybe I can rekindle it again if I leave her alone for a while.

Things I learned from Day III Day Game with Sedrick:
- Approach all
- Have fun with it-- Cholita thread is kinda like how I pretend I’m from London
- Entitlement with Latina girls works the same way as it does with any other race; just persist and enjoy the interaction until you’re so used to it, it feels natural
- I’m shy / (while demonstrating confidence) -- such an awesome mofo routine
- Intelligence is a turn on-- and probably one of my best skills
- Girls will play hard to get; call them out on it and flip the script humorously
- I need to stop being indecisive; and lead more-- especially on dates and instadates; it’s not good to make her figure shit out and hesitate
- I should have done some of the small stack escalation stuff, (e.g. at least holding her hands or arm in arm, then being in front of her before trying to kiss-- something to work on -- lead up to the kiss; don’t just spring it on her)
DAY III HOTSEAT & NIGHT GAME - PULL MOTHAFUCKA, THIS IS YOUR LAST DAY
When I got back to my hotel after my instadate with Native American, (I actually did one more set on my own with a black girl and an Asian girl-- and it kinda went well, but I ejected early because the Asian girl left me alone with the black girl and I wanted the Asian girl instead-- **Yes I kept wanting to approach because you approach til you break, then you’ll really want it lol and start going hard after what you want**)-- I met up with Sedrick. We crashed for an hour, then we drove to Embassy Suites where Tyler was doing Hotseat.
I’d already seen Hotseat before-- (my thoughts in a separate blog post on my blog), but it was the same good stuff. This time around, my main takeaways were things Jeffy had talked about-- ‘hammering sets with your presence, not falling into other people’s frames, etc’. I honestly felt super tired though, but I just imagined I was in hell-- and I had to keep approaching no matter how tired I felt, because this is SPARTA bitch! I imagined myself approaching all those girls Tyler had been approaching, and pretended each new approach was a new learning situation for me. Shout outs to my friends Rick and Rob for being there.
DRIVE TO PACIFIC BEACH
=========================
The students and I made our way after Hotseat to the cars; we were all going to Pacific Beach (kinda north of where we were) to check out the scene there. (That’s that whole San Diego State University area crowd).
In my opinion, this was probably the hardest night for me. I was not on at all-- I felt tired as fuck. I also was not feeling the crowd-- it looked like a bunch of gang bangers, high school rejects and otherwise people with whom I would not normally associate with. Still, I knew I had to push myself hard-- it was the FINAL DAY.
We walked into some large open area bar with pool tables, outside patio and a huge dance floor in the way back of the building. For what it was worth, the venue itself was pretty cool, but I was mentally hating on the crowd.
Todd noticed I was hovering around, so he told me to go into some sets immediately. I went in and talked to a girl and a guy; the girl was kinda cute but I wasn’t that into her. Honestly I just ran same shit, “visiting from LA, what’s there to do in Pacific Beach, what are you drinking, can I have a sip”, yadda yadda yadda.. but I wasn’t feeling it. Even though I got some attention from the girl, I just didn’t want to run escalation on her. The other guy seemed okay with me hitting on her, but I got the sense he wanted her too-- it was a battle of who wanted her more; so I let him have her eventually again. (I did walk with this girl to the bathroom, but I didn’t go in with her because I was like ehh).
Todd told me to go into another set, and another, (each time he saw me standing around, for my part though I kept talking to people). I just wasn’t feeling it. Finally, I saw a Japanese girl with some dudes playing pool. I opened her with a “Hi I’m Cloud”, handshake-- but she didn’t understand. I said some more stuff to her but she didn’t get it-- so I realized she might actually be from Japan and not know English. So yay-- good chance to break out the Japanese! :) I told her “Hajimemashite, ore ha attractive dakara aimashou” (Hey, I’m attractive, so that’s why we should meet each other) -- Jeffy’s opener lol. It worked pretty well, and I continued to talk to her in a teasing kinda way; but then her friends began to angrily make their way over to me to pull her away. I tried disabling some of them with friendliness, but then Todd came in and was like-- “We’re bouncing to the next place”, so I left the set.
CROWDED BAR
=============
Next up we walked over to a crazy loud bar where a DJ was playing loud hip/hop dance kinda music, people were just swarming around the dance floor, drinks in the air, screaming utter jibberish. I could see from the corner of my eye some of the other students looking terrified, and even I felt a little weird too. I forced myself to run around though and high five people; like I had the previous night at Stingaree, which helped me get in more state.
I saw some white girls with their friends, so I approached them with “Hi, I’m attractive, you should meet me”, but then they shut me down hard with “EWW, NO YOU’RE NOT, GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE.” I pretended to cry, and said to them-- “OWW WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT, I HAVE FEELINGS TOOOO…”, then they looked angry and turned their back on me. So I laughed it off and went to the next set-- fuck you girls anyway, you’re no one I would really associate with -- I thought to myself.
I opened some more sets, one girl humored me for a bit while I ran the escalation stack on her, only to tell me she had a boyfriend after; then another girl seemed really drunk-- I tried to kiss her but her friend pulled her away; later I found her again and went in for the kiss, got the cheek; I remember later I met some Asian girl, spun her around and tried to kiss her -- before her friends got up in my face and pushed me away; finally I talked to some librarian chick who seemed mildly amused but I wasn’t able to get anything out of her in terms of real conversation-- she just kept saying she was no-body special, no-one important-- so I was like “Yeah girl, you’re the librarian who sits in the back and shelves books… you secretly fantasize about guys like me taking you away from the mundane boring life of shelving you lead”. She thought that was funny, but again-- no dice-- she wouldn’t let me run escalation or anything on her. For that set, I think it was probably just a logistical thing, maybe if I could have moved her away from where she was to the outside, I might have had more compliance.
Some of the students asked Jeffy to demo at that point, but he kept pointing to sets for the students to go into. Todd, Frank and I think Todd’s girlfriend had arrived by that time to this bar and they rounded everyone up to the next area-- a MMA themed bar complete with boxing ring and dance floor.
MMA BAR
========
I approached some girls at the MMA bar, doing escalation stack-- but they weren’t having it; then I found a Persian girl sitting by herself; I ran the “I’m attractive so we should meet” opener; she looked at with a drunk stare; so I ran Sedrick’s you look like a Cholita routine-- even though it didn’t make sense; she found that kinda odd and funny; I maintained pressure -- did the triangle eye stare while putting pressure on her to kiss; then I went in for the neck bite and she flipped out. At that point she ran off-- “I have to find my friends, I’m sorry dude”, and she ran off lol. Ah well, red light is when they run away.
I danced with a girl after that saying we were at the “high school prom for the rejected”, we were all a bunch of “dropouts”, and tonight was the night to get “drunk off our ass”. Homegirl seemed kinda offended but she was too drunk anyway to care, so she let me grind up on her. Then I tried to kiss her and she pushed me off. I tried to find her again in the crowd of sweaty masses, but I lost her, so I opened up a fat chick (by this point I was running out of steam and sets).
Fat chick set was okay, but her boyfriend found me talking to her and got up in my face. I felt like being a cocky bitch so I antagonized him with “Are you mad brah? Are you jealous?” Fat girl started laughing and then the guy was like-- “No dude, it’s okay. I’m gay - I like men”, while pulling her away. I was like “Lol, try hard bro.”, and then the guy came in and said he’d kiss me-- so I was like “Fucking try it”. The guy came in to kiss and at the last second, I put my hand on his face and pushed him away hard-- but he laughed and said “Ha! Fag, you’re the one who’s gayyy!” Frank and Todd came in just in time to stop what would have otherwise become a fight, and Todd reminded me to stop antagonizing people-- remember “Be a friend”. Frank said to me that I would have been the one arrested if it did come down to a fight because I made the first move by pushing the other guy’s face away. I don’t know-- I guess in that moment, I felt like fighting him-- but over what… in retrospect, a fat girl? Foolish pride? What Frank said to me made sense, so I let it go, and joined the rest as they made their way out of the bar.
SKAG HOUR
==========
We pretty much started storming the streets like we had the previous two nights, running down after girl sets trying to convince them to get burritos or tacos with us. We also did the escalation stack; it was good practice.
There was a burrito stand nearby, so we made our way over there; and there were lots of girls ordering food. The students wanted Jeffy to demo, so he did-- Frank joined in.
Jeffy’s demo was pretty good, he has that solid ‘hammer down their frame’ with his own stuff; plus he has the ‘million dollar mouthpiece’; the ability to talk and talk about absurd things that hammer away at the girls’ realities while injecting fun and laughter to the point the girl can’t stop laughing. I can’t remember all that was said, but the things I remember was Jeffy pulling out a comb to comb his hipster mustache, the girl dying of laughter, him talking about San Francisco and cats, and just in general the set overall had a fun playful vibe. Frank picked up the other girl in the set, and spun her around, lifting her high in the air; but I think the girl didn’t like it-- because she wanted to be put down-- it also sorta broke the spell Jeffy had for a second over the other girl.
Frank left with Todd, then Todd told me to go run in after that girl Frank had picked up and re-game.
MAKEOUT & PULL WITH BLONDE GIRL
===============================
Note: I found out that ‘pull’ just means getting a girl to go with you somewhere, maybe back to her place-- it doesn’t mean ‘lay’ or ‘f-close’; but it’s almost like the same thing because you get really close. I almost got close to fucking this girl, but because I didn’t have a car and because she was going back with friends; I tried to just suggest afterparty, afterparty-- and we rode back together kind of thinking of an afterparty; basically until the vibe was ruined by some other fat girl in the car who wasn’t getting any attention. (Thus I had to call Frank and find my way back to the burrito stand to get picked up).
Still I put up a pretty valiant effort. The blonde girl that Frank had picked up didn’t recognize me, and I sat down with her just as she was meeting some other friends a mutual fat friend had wanted to introduce them to. These guys seemed like chill surfer dudes, they assumed I was with blonde chick and blonde chick assumed I was with them-- so I took advantage of the situation by not saying much and just going along with it, lol. I introduced myself as myself to the group like everyone else was, and for a while we just all sat and chilled talking about random stuff. (It literally felt like we were all just new friends meeting).
Blonde girl liked my vibe, and I ran some fun accents on her, she then gave me her burrito when I asked if I could try some; so we shared it together-- kinda like indirect kissing. I had pretty good eye contact with her as well as proximity. As the group was talking amongst each other, I talked more intimately with the blonde girl-- stuff like where she was from, what she did-- she was a nurse, me from LA, plus I threw in small statements of intent that I had gotten from Jeffy’s text. The slow statement of intent escalation stack really helped because afterwards, when the group was ready to leave, she was suggestable to having an afterparty back at their place. (In my mind, I had envisioned the other guys being on the same vein of thought as me-- wanting to close, so they would help us all get back to a pad where we could fuck these girls-- sadly it didn’t work out that way). In any case, we got up and walked to the cars they had parked at (far down the street). I waved bye to Todd, Jeffy, (and just noticed Tyler) while I held my blonde girl’s hand and we kept talking about stuff. I made sure to keep being funny and slightly intelligent -- both things I had realized were really good traits to me that attracted women. I also took note of the social situation, and realized if I tried to makeout with her in front of her friends, it could blow the whole thing out of proportion. So I just kept calm and waited until I was isolated a bit away from the rest of them with my girl to go in. We made out by a tree, while the group was fumbling away trying to find the cars. She was really into it. I thought of number closing her, but I hesitated; I thought I’d go for the entire pull.
The main problem was the fat friend and possibly the other dudes who were tired; they were all going back to North County (40 miles north of Pacific Beach), so no one really wanted to have an afterparty -- even though initially it was okay. I thought of pulling my girl back with me to get a ride with another friend and following them, but she wasn’t as receptive. Finally I called Frank and asked him what to do, but he seemed like he wanted me to make the decision, so I just decided to head back to where he was-- they were leaving to downtown again to meet at 24 Hour Diner. I ran back -- even though we had driven off quite far (my gang with the blonde chick). I felt bad, I kinda liked her, but I fucked it up with indecisiveness.
BRIAN’S 24 HOUR DINER PART III & DEBRIEF
====================================
Well the last night was pretty crazy all in all; I went in feeling really low state, but came out a winner. I got a nice little makeout with a pretty attractive white girl. I remembered thinking before I came to bootcamp that I suck with white girls-- I don’t feel entitled to them like I do with other girls (say Asian or Indian). I wanted to build up my entitlement.
Entitlement to me is really just practice-- hardcore practice of course; the more you talk to, flirt with, make out, and have sex with girls you want-- the more you just feel entitled to it. So it’s a process one definitely just has to learn.
Todd told me that my problem was I cared a little too much still of what people thought of me; hence that was the final thing holding me back; that I’d have to shed off somehow. It would come with practice. Jeffy gave us lots of ideas to build upon the million dollar mouthpiece stuff; when he learned game; he memorized literally hours and hours upon material-- so he’d always have stuff to talk about. “I DID THIS SHIT FOR 10 YEARS -- THAT’S WHY I CAN DO THIS”, he said. “PUT IN YOUR TIME”.
Tyler and his girlfriend Carly joined up with us, and we all felt like a big family, us, the RSD instructors, their girlfriends, the assistant instructors, etc-- we all huddled around the dining table for the third time in a row being drunk and merry (well maybe not the drunk part-- but it sure felt merry). Final thoughts to us all were to keep up the momentum; this was an experience that shattered our reality initially, but served to build us back up to see what we were truly made of. From this point on, we would be answerable to ourselves to keep up the good fight and truly get better. Todd and Jeffy both said they would be available by email for future help with questions; it was the least they could do especially if they saw us wanting to really get better-- since we were a reflection of their work, they also were invested in us getting better. I liked that.
Things I learned from Bootcamp Day III (The Night)
- Low energy gets you nothing; what you feel is what they feel (especially if you act like you’re not into her / them)
- Strong, positive energy-- go in hard mofo
- If you’re stumbling, short opens (short and sweet first, burn to the ground later) - high fives and handshakes work great; spin handshakes
- Stick the ‘escalation’ stack, it works
- Stop giving a fuck about what people think of you and approach bitch; do the mechanics
- Put in your time; this is hard-- pickup is hard, that’s what makes you a better man-- so just have fun when people put you down (they can’t break you, only you can break you)
- Continue to be more and more creative about pulling; and think how you can get friends to help you-- don’t antagonize people
- I did a great job pulling my girl away from her friends to makeout with her; good job-- just get her number too next time in a potentially lame situation
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I really enjoyed this bootcamp experience. It was definitely a hardcore experience. A lot of people might say -- well was it worth the $2000? Honestly, I can’t make that determination because I was told I’d just be observing everything-- to me, I never really felt like I got any assistance with any of my sets from the instructors-- but that was fair, because they told me that upfront anyway. They would assist the other students, and I was just there to hang around and learn what I could as an outside guy looking in. I was cool with that; and in many ways I felt the instructors helped me out even still when they didn’t have to; so I’m thankful for their input.
From what I took away, I think this bootcamp experience definitely can help any guy who’s already sort of intermediate or used to doing pickup. I think that’s probably the best person suited to take a bootcamp. If you’re a newbie or afraid of approaching, I think bootcamp can help, but it won’t give you that extra edge you’re looking for because you have to first lock down that approach anxiety first. So I would say to newbies, go and practice on your own with a few wings, then as you get good and start understanding things; to the point you no longer have that fear to talk to women; take a bootcamp. For me, bootcamp was the next level for myself having success with women, because I wanted to blow past limiting beliefs like not feeling entitlement, and not having clarity of intent. That stuff is pretty deep, and what I liked about bootcamp was the MASSIVE taking action bit. When you take massive action, -- especially when the instructors frame it as you either taking massive action or wasting your money-- you learn to really man the fuck up and go after what you want -- again that is true clarity in intent. So for me, I definitely feel like I got exactly what I wanted out of a bootcamp experience -- to have my questions answered and to feel like I had grown up a little more to see what beyond my normal routine of stuff is out there, and what I should be working on to get to that next level.
Leaving the RSD bootcamp world behind now and coming back to my regular work life is a bit disheartening, (I would rather be in that world having fun), but I know its up to me to make things work out-- and to create the lifestyle I truly want to live for myself-- by working hard. That means not only going out and doing pickup on the regular, but having my job, finances and gym together too. I should travel more, and continue to meet interesting people who can possibly help. Maybe I should stay in touch with Jeffy / Todd or other instructors (maybe not RSD) and form a mentor/pupil relationship. I think having a solid mentor is what keeps you in the game -- because you set your sights higher than what they may actually be if you’re on your own. To me, I see Tyler as a mentor because he’s at a level where he’s rich, enjoying life, has a lot of women, stories to tell, great sex life, etc. So it’s something to aspire to, for myself-- I don’t have to recreate RSD necessarily, but I can take elements from it and add it to my own life-- especially having lots of stories to tell, beautiful women, good finances and great sex. The main thing to do is just keep learning and pushing myself -- not giving up when it gets tough, and sticking to the small tasks that will ultimately add up and make me successful.
- Cloud
Things to Work On (recap)
- Approach all
- Minimize time in between interactions
- Scale back the aggressiveness
- Don’t antagonize other guys / befriend them instead
- Be smarter about pulling-- don’t just try to rip girls off their friends, be clever about it (Todd would have some useful advice in the later days that helped me get further with this)
- Anime eyes -- definite attraction
- I should have done some of the small stack escalation stuff, (e.g. at least holding her hands or arm in arm, then being in front of her before trying to kiss-- something to work on -- lead up to the kiss; don’t just spring it on her)
- Low energy gets you nothing; what you feel is what they feel (especially if you act like you’re not into her / them)
- Strong, positive energy-- go in hard mofo
- If you’re stumbling, short opens (short and sweet first, burn to the ground later) - high fives and handshakes work great; spin handshakes
- Stick the ‘escalation’ stack, it works
- Stop giving a fuck about what people think of you and approach bitch; do the mechanics
